A mini-book Tell me another… Speaking, Listening and Learning Through Storytelling was published by UKLA in 2004 and the revised edition in 2009. The book examines the nature of storytelling and gives practical advice for teachers on how to make oral stories an integral part of literacy learning.
Jacqui was brought up in Ireland where story is king and the craic an important part of the culture of the people. Anyone who has visited Ireland will know the importance of narrative in the lives of the people and this enthusiasm for story is evident in this little book. It’s available from UKLA.
